What an advisor can open that an algorithm cannot. Each of these is staged on your terms — the access, the timing, the people.

The Pitons at sunrise from a private terrace

A villa above the Jalousie plantation with the twin volcanic spires rising from the water below — the view that defines St Lucia, at the hour the light catches both peaks from the same angle, the Caribbean still dark behind them.

A rainforest walk to the warm Sulphur Springs
02

A rainforest walk to the warm Sulphur Springs

A private naturalist's trail through the Edmund Forest Reserve — a botanist from the St Lucia Forestry Department identifying the tree ferns and the parrots specific to the island, the walk ending at the only drive-in volcano in the Caribbean.

A private catamaran to Anse Chastanet
03

A private catamaran to Anse Chastanet

A crewed vessel from Soufrière to the reef bay below the Pitons — the snorkelling above the black-sand volcanic reef that the National Trust protects, lunch on deck in the cove, the Pitons visible from the water in a way no road view replicates.

The volcanic island's geothermal gifts — a sulphur mud bath at Soufrière's warm springs, a deep-rainforest waterfall walk, and the spa at a Piton-view hotel whose treatments use the island's sea-salt, cocoa and tropical botanicals.

January to April — the dry season on the windward side of the island means the Pitons at their clearest, the jungle trails passable without mud, and the offshore reef calm enough to snorkel directly from the beach at Anse Chastanet.

FAQ

Planning a Private St Lucia Journey

The December to April dry season is the prime window, with lower humidity and the calmest seas for sailing the west coast. St Lucia lies within the hurricane belt, so June to November brings heavier rain and storm potential, peaking August to October, though the lush landscape is at its greenest and rates soften meaningfully. Forest Travel arranges flexible terms for green-season stays so plans can flex if a system threatens.

The twin volcanic Pitons rising from the sea near Soufriere are the island's defining sight, and the signature experience is a stay or private day with direct Piton views, paired with a chartered catamaran sail along the southwest coast beneath them. Many travelers add the drive-in Sulphur Springs volcanic baths and the botanical gardens nearby. A private sunset sail under the Pitons is among the most requested experiences your advisor can secure.

Soufriere on the southwest coast is the most coveted base for its Piton views and rainforest-edge resorts and villas, while the calmer northwest around Cap Estate and Rodney Bay offers easier beaches and dining. Some split their stay between the dramatic south and the more social north. Five to seven nights suits a combination of Piton scenery, sailing, and rainforest excursions.

The interior rainforest offers privately guided hikes, the Tet Paul nature trail with Piton vistas, ziplines, and the Diamond Falls and botanical gardens, while the working cocoa estates around Soufriere host private tastings and tree-to-bar experiences. A private catamaran or powerboat reaches secluded snorkeling reefs and Marigot Bay. These are arranged as private outings rather than group tours.

Most long-haul travelers land at Hewanorra International in the south near Vieux Fort, which is roughly a ninety-minute private drive to the northern resorts but much closer to Soufriere; the smaller George F. L. Charles airport near Castries serves regional flights. Many clients choose a private helicopter transfer to compress the drive and arrive at Soufriere with Piton views from the air. St Lucia pairs well with Martinique or a yacht itinerary through the nearby Grenadines.
